Training
Learn IRT at your own pace
Whether you're curious about the model, deepening a specific skill, or building competency across an entire team, there's a place to start. From single workshops to the full certification track to organizational training, the path is yours to choose.
Why learn from IRT Institute
Training grounded in direct lineage, active research, and a community built for clinicians who work with the hardest cases.
EXPERTISE
Dr. Critchfield studied under and worked alongside Lorna Smith Benjamin, IRT's creator, for years. Dr. Stucker-Rozovsky trained under Dr. Critchfield. What you learn here traces directly back to the model as it was developed. Fidelity and precision are core to what we do at the IRT Institute.
ENGAGED LEARNING
We deliberately keep training cohorts small so sessions stay a dialogue, not a lecture. You'll have space to ask questions, bring your own cases, and get direct feedback from the trainers — with CE credit built in.
ACTIVE RESEARCH
Dr. Critchfield and Dr. Stucker-Rozovsky continue to conduct IRT research and publish routinely. See our Research page for more information.
COMMUNITY
Training doesn't end when the workshop does. Graduates get continued access to consultation and join a community of clinicians committed to complex, hard-to-treat cases — people who've gotten lost in systems and stuck in patterns other approaches haven't reached.
Workshops
Standalone sessions for clinicians who want an introduction to IRT before committing to the leveled track. CE credits available for live workshops.
